Those of you who are invited to a Halloween party this weekend but have absolutely no idea what to dress up as- even after searching the internet for easy costumes and asking friends for advice- I feel your pain. It took me forever this year (last year was easier!) but I finally decided to go with fashion pioneer and all around cool lady Coco Chanel. I know it's super last minute, but this is so easy to put together! All you need is a black or white tweed skirt suit (like Audrey Tautou is wearing in the top left image from Coco Avant Chanel. I got mine from the local thrift store for $12, so that's a great place to look) or a little black dress, a quilted chain-strap purse, and some black heels or flats. Of course you have to layer on a massive amount of pearls and have a cigarette (use a candy one!) in hand at all times (see Chanel in the above image). As the French would say- voila!
