I've been on a major white kick lately and couldn't figure out what the catalyst was. Today I discovered the culprit...the Baldwin women's spring/summer '14 lookbook. They make all white (even nail polish!) look wearable and not too try-hard.
I like toning down this look by doing a heathered oatmeal and grey sweatshirt (this one is great, and a good stand in until I get my hands on a Baldwin one) instead of a white one. How great does it feel to wear new pieces out and about in the sun? I'll be around here a lot more now that the first busy few months of 2014 are wrapping up!
The concept of wearing a jean jacket in late November is completely foreign to me, and I still can't believe that Vancouver weather allows for it. Ontario already has snow which I'm sure is lovely and I miss it, but I take a lot of solace in the fact that I can be outside for hours, comfortable in just a few light layers and sneakers. I am obsessed with this massive scarf, which is really the size of a blanket and makes any outfit so cozy.
It feels redundant to comment on how stylish Clémence is, because she always looks incredible. I can't stop looking at this photo by The Sartorialist, for the way she combines icy, wintery hues with the warmth of that huge, luxurious scarf. Also...that hair! She's the coolest.
I'd love to be wearing this look while hanging around Vancouver this weekend. It would be perfect for going for coffee at Beaucoup, making a growler-fillling trip to 33 Acres Brewing, and having the best ice cream at Earnest Ice Cream.
I can't stop listening to HAIM and can't get over how cool Danielle Haim is. I love her signature white tees, leather and hats, and how she makes that long middle-parted hair look better than anyone. Also, she told Teen Vogue: "the Canadian tuxedo is kind of my vibe," proving that she really is a girl after my own heart.
