All I want to wear right now is black jeans with knit sweaters, short boots, and dark nail polish. It's such a great time of year for getting dressed and I love that outfits like this feel so easy but just right.
The latest issue of the lovely, Vancouver-based online publication Freckled was released this week. It is carefully put together with the work talented artists and writers. The issue is beautiful in its entirety and it's really worth taking a detailed look through every page. I am featured alongside some very cool people in the style section, sporting a smirk and some of my favourite clothing. Thank you so much to Leslie and Taryn for taking my photos, and to Ting and Shanene for putting out such a great publication and thinking to have me be a part of it! Freckled can be viewed here, and you can keep up with them on Facebook and Instagram.
I always love when casual, basic items are remade with premium fabrics and elegant styling. This fall's luxurious trackpant variations are an ideal meeting of luxurious materials and laidback style, and would be equally cool with sneakers, heels, or ankle boots. Heidi Merrick's leather sweatpants are one of those things that I never would have dreamt of until I saw them, and now that I've seen them, I can't get them out of my head!
When I visited the Baldwin Denim LA showroom earlier this year, the standout piece in their new women's apparel was this sweatshirt. I couldn't try it on fast enough, and after reveling in its softness and fit, and taking a few mirror pictures of what it looked like on (of course), it was so hard to walk out without it! It just felt like an instant classic. I love the crewneck, the collar and cuff detail, the slim cut, raglan sleeves, inner pockets and the fabric...so, everything. I noticed this week that Baldwin has their fall women's items to their website, so this perfect sweatshirt is now available, and in five colour-ways! (Top images via Baldwin Women's FW13 Lookbook)
Dream outfits definitely fall on the sassier side of my taste...in reality I would probably wear this top with jeans or a black skirt, but holy, I would wear it nonstop! Autumn is really the glory days for clothing, but definitely not the glory days for my chequing account.
